On June 1, 2025, Senator Gebhard announced the dedication of a Lebanon post office in honor of Lieutenant William D. Lebo. He stated that “Last week, the Lebanon Post Office located at 101 South 8th St in Lebanon was officially dedicated as the ‘Lieutenant William D. Lebo Post Office Building’. Congressman Dan Meuser introduced legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives to make the designation possible.”
In a tweet dated June 2, 2025, Senator Gebhard paid tribute to William G. “Bill” Carpenter, a respected community leader and war hero. He wrote “This past week, we lost a true American hero and long-time community leader, William G. ‘Bill’ Carpenter. Bill truly embodied the values of a great American, serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and receiving both the Purple Heart and Silver Star for his bravery.”
Senator Gebhard also participated in recognizing Dairy Month on June 4, 2025. In collaboration with Senator Elder Vogel Jr., he highlighted this celebration by engaging with state dairy and agriculture leaders in Harrisburg. He mentioned that “June is #DairyMonth! I joined Senator Elder Vogel Jr. to recognize Dairy Month in Harrisburg with state dairy and agriculture leaders.” Crystal Bomgardner, former FFA state president and new spring intern for Senator Gebhard’s office, joined him for this event.
