On May 19, Congressman Meuser highlighted his participation in a discussion with RJ Harris from WHP580 about the recent passage of his Gold Shield Families Resolution. This legislation aims to “recognize and support the families of fallen first responders.” Additionally, during this session, they discussed another piece of legislation known as the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which is intended to stimulate economic growth and enhance security. “This morning, I joined @RJHarrisWHP580 to highlight the House’s passage of my Gold Shield Families Resolution—legislation I introduced to recognize and support the families of fallen first responders. We also discussed the ‘Big Beautiful Bill,’ which will grow the economy, secure” he stated.
The following day, on May 20, Congressman Meuser celebrated personal achievements by sharing that both his daughters had graduated over the weekend. Caroline graduated from George Washington University’s School of Medicine while Jacqueline completed her studies at Hofstra Law School. He expressed pride in their “hard work, perseverance, and commitment to serving others.” “This weekend, my wife Shelley and I had the joy of watching both our daughters graduate—Caroline from George Washington University’s School of Medicine and Jacqueline from Hofstra Law School. Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to serving others is so gratifying.”
Later on May 20, Congressman Meuser recounted a meeting between himself along with other members of the Republican Conference and former President Donald Trump. The meeting lasted over 90 minutes where Trump inspired attendees by stressing the significance of passing what he termed as “the Big Beautiful Bill.” “I and our Republican Conference had the opportunity to spend over 90 minutes with President Donald Trump this morning. President Trump was absolutely inspiring, always witty, and emphasized the importance of passing what he has named the Big Beautiful Bill.”
