Congressman Dan Meuser, representing Pennsylvania’s 9th district since 2019, has recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. The tweets cover topics such as military priorities, university leadership controversies, and government spending reforms.

On December 11, 2024, Congressman Meuser expressed his perspective on the United States military by stating that “The United States military is not a social engineering experiment—it’s a fighting force designed to protect our nation and ensure global stability. The FY25 NDAA prioritizes what truly matters—military readiness, modernization, and the security of the American people.”

Later that day, he addressed concerns regarding leadership at the University of Pennsylvania. He stated that “In Pennsylvania, we take pride in institutions like UPenn, but recent events have caused us to take a closer look at its leadership. Professor Julia Alekseyeva’s mocking and celebrating the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson warrants her termination.”

Additionally, Congressman Meuser commented on government efficiency by pointing out areas for improvement within federal agencies. On December 11, he tweeted about fiscal responsibility: “From overpayments to absentee employees and underperforming agencies, there’s plenty of ‘low-hanging fruit’ for @DOGE to address. Taxpayer dollars must fund programs that deliver results.”
