Congressman Dan Meuser, who represents Pennsylvania’s 9th Congressional District and serves as a Subcommittee Chairman on the House Financial Services Committee, recently posted several updates on social media regarding legislative developments and state pride.
On July 18, 2025, Meuser announced his participation in a White House event: “This afternoon, I joined President Trump, Speaker Johnson, Chairman French Hill, and fellow members of the @FinancialCmte for the signing of the GENIUS Act into law. As a Subcommittee Chairman on the Financial Services Committee, I’m working to advance President Trump’s agenda”.
Two days later, on July 20, 2025, Meuser marked Pennsylvania Day with a message celebrating the state’s legacy: ” Happy Pennsylvania Day! Today, we celebrate the incredible history, values, and people that make the Keystone State the cornerstone of our great nation. From our role in America’s founding to our leadership in energy, manufacturing, and innovation — Pennsylvania continues”.
Later that evening on July 20th, Meuser invited followers to tune into an upcoming television appearance: “Tune in to @MorningsMaria on @FoxNews tomorrow morning, Monday, at 6:20 am. We will be covering government funding, the GENIUS Act, new information released by the DNI about the Russia farce, and a concerning rise in violent attacks against law enforcement.”
Meuser has served as U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 9th district since January 2019 and is known for his involvement with financial policy legislation. The GENIUS Act referenced in his posts is recent federal legislation signed by President Donald Trump; Speaker Mike Johnson currently leads the U.S. House of Representatives while French Hill chairs relevant subcommittees within Financial Services.
Pennsylvania Day commemorates contributions made by Pennsylvania to American history and industry. The mention of “new information released by the DNI about the Russia farce” refers to ongoing debates around past intelligence investigations involving Russia.
