In his post dated July 10, 2025, he stated: “I was there on July 13th, 2024, when the shots rang out in Butler, Pennsylvania. Standing in the front row, I watched as President Trump went down, thinking he’d been seriously wounded. When he stood, the crowd stood—and chanted “Fight! Fight! Fight!” It was an unforgettable”.
On July 11, 2025, Meuser discussed his participation in a regional civic event. He wrote: “Tonight I joined the Columbia/Montour Chamber of Commerce for their second annual Municipal Officials’ Night—a great event focused on strengthening coordination between our local governments and community partners.

The attempted assassination referenced by Congressman Meuser occurred during a campaign rally for former President Donald Trump on July 13th, 2024. The incident resulted in injuries but Trump survived and continued with his campaign activities.
