More than $275,000 in grants will be distributed to municipalities in Pennsylvania’s 102nd District to improve local parks, according to Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon). The funding is part of the Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2), administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). This week, DCNR announced support for over 295 projects statewide.
Heidelberg Township will receive $100,000 to renovate baseball fields, build a pavilion, install fencing, and create a pedestrian walkway at Schaefferstown Park. Richland Borough has been awarded $176,700 for the construction of a basketball court, installation of fitness stations, and creation of pedestrian walkways at its municipal park.
The state legislature increased DCNR’s budget by $13 million for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The additional funds are intended to address needs related to conservation efforts, outdoor recreation opportunities, public lands management, and similar projects.
“More than $275,000 in grant money coming to the 102nd District will help municipalities improve their parks,” said Rep. Russ Diamond.
