Rep. John Schlegel was sworn in at the state Capitol to serve as the representative for Pennsylvania’s 101st Legislative District. He takes over from Rep. Frank Ryan, who retired after serving three terms.
“It is an honor and a privilege to serve the residents of the 101st District and one that I take very seriously,” said Schlegel. “In conversations with my constituents, they have expressed concerns about the economy, government spending and the preservation of our personal freedoms. They also support measures to ensure energy independence and an education system that prepares students to be productive, responsible citizens. I will keep these goals in mind as I navigate my first term as a member of the General Assembly.”
Schlegel’s background includes roles as a high school teacher, coach, school administrator, and community volunteer in Lebanon County. He holds degrees from Kutztown University, Millersville University, and Temple University. His professional history includes teaching American history and coaching at Northern Lebanon School District and various administrative positions in other schools.
Constituents are invited to visit his district office located at Lebanon Valley Mall or call for assistance with state-related issues. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with updates available on his website.
