A grant of $750,000 has been awarded to support the construction of an extension to the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. This announcement was made by Representative Russ Diamond from Lebanon. The funding comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnerships Program.

The allocated funds will be used to construct a 2.1-mile section of the trail stretching from Pine Tree Road to Lickdale Road. The project will include the installation of a pedestrian bridge, fencing, and stormwater management systems.

Representative Diamond expressed his appreciation for the development, stating, “We’re fortunate in Lebanon County to have access to such a high-quality rail trail.” He further commended local efforts by saying, “I applaud the county on its efforts to ensure the trail is around for the future and accessible to those with mobility challenges.”
