At a recent event hosted by the Hazleton Chamber, speakers emphasized the importance of prioritizing local interests over partisan politics.

Congressman Meuser highlighted the urgency of addressing national financial issues, stating, “We need to focus on results, not rhetoric.” He expressed concern over the growing national debt, saying, “With $36 trillion in debt and rising interest payments, we’re now spending more on servicing debt than we are on national defense. That is unacceptable.”

Meuser also commended Hazleton for its proactive measures in areas where federal action has been lacking. He noted that initiatives such as school choice, vocational training, and entrepreneurial support have yielded positive outcomes in communities like Hazleton. “The results speak for themselves,” he added.
