A low-interest loan has been granted to Richland Borough to support the installation of a new 500,000-gallon water tank. This announcement was made by Representative Russ Diamond, who serves the Lebanon area.

The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) has approved this financial assistance package, which totals $4.1 million. The loan will carry interest rates between 1.743% and 2.179% over a period of 20 years.

Representative Diamond stated, “Richland is seeking to install an elevated tank to replace its existing one and ensure the community is well served for decades to come.” He expressed gratitude towards PENNVEST for recognizing the significance of this project.

The new water tank will be equipped with communications and mixing systems, including an emergency generator. PENNVEST operates as an independent state agency providing financial aid for sewer, stormwater, and drinking water projects throughout Pennsylvania.
