Rep. Russ Diamond, a Republican from Lebanon, has been reappointed as chairman of the House Gaming Oversight Committee for the 2025-26 Legislative Session. Alongside this role, he will also serve on the State Government Committee.

Diamond expressed his readiness to address ongoing issues in gaming oversight, particularly the rise of skill games and video gaming terminals in various establishments. “The proliferation of skill games as video gaming terminals in convenience stores, fraternal clubs and bars remains a major issue before Gaming Oversight. I’m eager to tackle that issue and update the Small Games of Chance law to help clubs and fire companies,” Diamond stated.

Additionally, Diamond will continue contributing to election law updates as part of his new appointment on the State Government Committee. “I’m also grateful to be back on the State Government Committee, where I can help to shape any updates to election law,” he said.

In his sixth term as a legislator, Diamond has also been designated as the voice for the House Republican Caucus on the Joint State Government Commission’s Election Law Advisory Board.
