Rep. John Schlegel of Lebanon announced that the 101st Legislative District has received $4,250,000 in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants. The funds are intended to promote job growth and strengthen the local economy.

The Lebanon Valley Exposition Corporation was awarded a $4 million grant for the construction of a new exposition center building at the Lebanon Valley Exposition Center complex. Additionally, Whole Plants LLC received a $250,000 grant to support the construction of up to three retail dispensaries, enabling Whole Plants Health to sell products directly to its patients.

“I advocated for these economic development projects, and I am gratified that the funding has been approved,” stated Schlegel. “These are important projects in our district and will help strengthen our local economy.”

The RACP program is managed by the Office of the Budget and was established in 1986. It focuses on regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects. In total, over $590 million in RACP grants were distributed statewide today.
