Senator Chris Gebhard shared updates on legislative and community activities in Pennsylvania through a series of tweets posted on July 19 and 20, 2025.
On July 19, Gebhard wrote about welcoming Vice President J.D. Vance to the state, stating, “It was an honor to welcome @VP J.D. Vance to Pennsylvania this week, while he visited Don’s Machnine Shop in West Pittston to discuss the #onebigbeautifulbill and the tax deductions it contains, along with pro-energy policies that benefit Pennsylvania. #PA #Energy” (posted July 19, 2025). The visit focused on discussions around a proposed bill containing tax deductions and energy policies aimed at benefiting the state.
Later that day, Gebhard described his participation in a local event marking preparations for America’s upcoming semiquincentennial celebration. He posted, ” Countdown to America’s 250th Begins This morning, I had the pleasure of joining State Representative Russ Diamond and #America250PA volunteers at the Fredericksburg Little League Field. Together, we painted a baseball-themed American flag mural, refreshed picnic tables.” (posted July 19, 2025).
On July 20, Gebhard acknowledged media coverage of legislative efforts targeting school property taxes: “Thank you to 69 News WFMZ for covering our legislation to eliminate school property taxes. For decades, Pennsylvanians have made their voices clear: it’s time to end this unfair burden.” (posted July 20, 2025). The issue of school property taxes has been debated in Pennsylvania for years as lawmakers consider alternatives for funding public education.
Gebhard represents constituents in Pennsylvania’s Senate and frequently highlights policy initiatives related to taxation and energy as well as civic engagement activities.
