Senator Chris Gebhard shared updates on community initiatives and events in a series of posts on October 5 and 6, 2025. The topics included youth development programs, school district milestones, and local fundraising efforts.
On October 5, Senator Gebhard highlighted a National Guard program: “A National Guard program, KSCA uses a military academy training model to provide structure & discipline for youth between the ages of 16-18. Sound interesting? Prospective cadets can apply online now for the Jan. 2026 class at Ft. Indiantown Gap.” The program aims to offer structure and discipline to teenagers through a military academy-style approach.
Later that day, Senator Gebhard reported on his office’s participation in a school event: “My office joined the ribbon cutting at Cocalico School District’s Reamstown Elementary to celebrate the completion of renovations that began back in November 2023. Congratulations to the entire Cocalico School District on this exciting milestone!” The renovations referenced had started nearly two years prior and marked an important achievement for the district.
On October 6, he drew attention to a community fundraiser: “On Saturday, DVI held their annual Rubber Duck Derby at Quittie Creek between Seventh and Eighth Streets in Lebanon. The event supports Domestic Violence Intervention (DVI) of Lebanon County and raises awareness about domestic violence.” This annual derby serves as both a fundraising effort and an awareness campaign for domestic violence issues within Lebanon County.
Senator Chris Gebhard represents Pennsylvania’s 48th Senate District, which includes parts of Lebanon, Dauphin, and York counties. His public communications often highlight local educational projects and social services programs relevant to his constituents.
