Senator Chris Gebhard, who represents Pennsylvania’s 48th district in the State Senate, recently shared several updates on his official Twitter account regarding educational initiatives and community events in Lebanon County.

On October 1, 2025, Senator Gebhard congratulated a local school district on a significant development project. In his tweet, he wrote: “Congratulations to the Cornwall-Lebanon School District on the completion of the new Falcon Connector! This state-of-the-art building adds 22 classrooms and creates innovative learning space connecting the Cedar Crest High School and Middle School.”

The following day, October 2, Senator Gebhard announced an opportunity for students across Pennsylvania. He stated: “Applications are now open for the America250PA Semiquincentennial Scholarship Program, which will award $250,000 in scholarships to PA students attending PA colleges and universities in the 2026–2027 school year. Learn more & apply here https://t.co/TDU5gT37hY https://t.co/N8r9uLSCK1” The America250PA initiative is part of statewide preparations to commemorate the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026 by supporting educational opportunities for Pennsylvania students.

Later that evening, Gebhard shared his experience attending a business networking event. He tweeted: “I was glad to stop by the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Fall Networking event last night at the Hebron Banquet Hall. It was a great opportunity for local businesses and nonprofits to connect. Thank you to the Chamber for always doing a great job.”

Senator Gebhard has represented Lebanon County as part of Pennsylvania’s 48th Senate District since being elected in a special election in May 2021. His recent posts reflect ongoing efforts to support education infrastructure and foster connections within the local business community.
