Holy Spirit Church recently issued the following announcement.
PASTOR’S MESSAGE
Aloha! I hope that you are enjoying the festival this weekend. Be sure to thank the volunteers if you get a chance. It is amazing to think of all the donated hours that go into making this weekend welcoming, relaxing, and uplifting for us and our community.
Summer flies by so quickly, and the timing of our festival is a nice reminder to keep enjoying the season before transitioning too quickly into focusing on fall activities. Next weekend we will celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is always celebrated on August 15. Bishop Gainer has reinstated the obligation to go to Mass on Sundays and Holy Days.
I want to remind you that the obligation does not mean you have to go if it is not possible for you. If you are sick, are still being cautious of the coronavirus, or have a conflict with work, please continue to be creative in inviting God into your weekly life through prayer time or by going to Mass on another day during the week. I am also happy to say that we will continue to offer Mass online and Mass outside indefinitely.
