North Cornwall issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of North Cornwall Township will receive questions and comments on proposed Ordinance Nos. 328 and 329 at a public meeting on December 7, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the North Cornwall Township Municipal Building, 320 South 18th Street, Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Ordinance No. 328 contains proposed amendments to the Township's Motor Vehicle and Traffic Ordinance. The amendments include the addition of references to the Township's Traffic Penalty and Fines Resolution; amendments to certain speed limits on Township roadways; establishing a "Do Not Enter" sign at Rocherty Commons Route 72 entrance onto Quentin Road; adding a stop intersection at Creekrun Lane and Hartman Lane; adding a stop intersection at Rocherty Road and Colebrook Road; establishing a "No Left Turn" from Chestnut Street onto Cumberland Street westbound; establishing bridge weight limits at Reist Road over Beck Creek and West Oak Street over Beck Creek; including provisions for PennDOT plan signage at traffic signal intersections and roundabouts; adding various locations where parking shall be prohibited at all times; revising provisions related to the parking or storage of commercial-size private or business trucks, tractors, equipment, boats, recreational vehicles, trailers, or any other commercial vehicles; and amending general parking regulations prohibiting stopping, standing, or parking vehicles in specific areas.
Ordinance No. 329 would approve a proposed amendment to the Articles of Incorporation for the North Cornwall Township Authority to extend the Authority's term of existence for a period of 50 years from the date of approval of the amendment to the articles.
The Board of Supervisors of North Cornwall Township will vote upon the ordinances after receiving questions and comments. Copies of the full text of the ordinances may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof in the Business Office of the North Cornwall Township Municipal Building, 320 South 18th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042, at the Lebanon County Law Library, 400 South 8th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042, and at the Lebanon Daily News, 718 Poplar Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. In addition, proposed Ordinance Nos. 328 and 329 are available on the North Cornwall Township website, www.nctown.org.
