Congressman Dan Meuser, representing Pennsylvania's 9th district since 2019, shared his perspectives on stablecoins and current legislative issues via social media. Meuser, who has been a member of the U.S. Congress after succeeding Lou Barletta, frequently comments on economic and political matters.

On March 11, 2025, Congressman Meuser expressed support for stablecoins as a financial tool. He stated that "Properly regulated stablecoins can provide fast, efficient payment solutions and ensure the U.S. dollar remains a global financial leader." According to Meuser, unlike Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), stablecoins offer these benefits without sacrificing privacy or market freedom.

Later that day, he commented on an impending vote regarding budget allocations. He noted that "Tonight, Democrats will vote against a Continuing Resolution that cuts $20 billion from the IRS and redirects $10 billion from the Commerce Department’s Slush fund to invest in our veterans, military, seniors, and working families—all while keeping the government open."

In another post on March 11, Meuser criticized Democratic actions concerning government budget negotiations. He remarked that "It’s the height of hypocrisy for Democrats to threaten a government shutdown over a Continuing Resolution that is almost entirely their budget bill from last year." He dismissed claims about benefit cuts as "political gaslighting."
