VA Lebanon Healthcare System announced on Mar. 3 that it has started a series of infrastructure upgrades aimed at ensuring safe and effective patient care.
The improvements are part of the Veterans Health Administration’s Non-Recurring Maintenance program, which is focused on modernizing, repairing, and improving health care facilities during fiscal year 2026.
Projects scheduled for the first quarter include paving and modifying the loop and parking areas, electrical upgrades (Phase I), correcting HVAC systems for SPS, replacing windows (Phase 2), EHRM infrastructure upgrades, repairing the plenum in Building 104, and providing support services for EHRM projects.
Director Jeffrey Beiler II said, “Improved facilities, equipment and infrastructure mean better care for Veterans, and these funds will enable VA Lebanon Healthcare System to achieve that goal.” He added: “Better care for Veterans is our goal, and these projects will enable us to achieve just that.”
These efforts are part of broader initiatives within VA during the second Trump Administration. Since Jan. 20, 2025, VA reports it has reduced backlogs in veterans’ benefits processing; expanded access by opening new sites; reached an all-time high in certain fiscal-year metrics; and offered more than 1.9 million appointments outside normal hours to give veterans more timely options for care.
