The City of Williamsport’s Old City Revitalization project is advancing with assistance from a consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. The firm is aiding the city in achieving its planning and funding objectives for the area east of Market Street.
This initiative is progressing with support from U.S. Representative Dan Meuser, R-Dallas, who has secured $2.2 million for four key components: modernization of city street lights, pedestrian improvements on Willow Street, utility upgrades on Fourth Street, and a riverwalk connector at Basin Street. This information was shared during a discussion with the City Council by Keller Partners and Co., represented by Andrew Garfinkel, vice president and managing director of grants, loans, and procurement at the company. Keller Partners and Co. has been serving as the city’s consultant since 2021.
