Borough of Myerstown issued the following announcement on July 29.
The Borough is deeply saddened by the loss of former Borough Manager, Edward H. Treat. Mr. Treat was the Manager of the borough from 1965 until his retirement in 1996. He was also very active with the fire departments in Reading, Lebanon, and Myerstown, having held many positions with the Keystone Hook and Ladder Company, including Chief Engineer.
