PUBLIC HEARING AND ENACTMENT NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that Borough Council of the Borough of Richland, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Richland Borough Office, 5 Pine Street, Richland, Pennsylvania 17087, to consider the renewal of the Cable Franchise Agreement with Comcast of Florida / Michigan / New Mexico / Pennsylvania / Washington, LLC (“Comcast”). Comcast currently has a Cable Franchise Agreement with Richland Borough and has requested a renewal of this franchise.
Pursuant to Section 626 of the Cable Communications Policy Act, citizens are asked to comment on the Comcast’s past performance under the current Cable Franchise Agreement as well as the community’s future cable-related needs.
Borough Council may consider enactment of a Resolution authorizing the renewal of the Cable Franchise Agreement at its meeting immediately following the hearing. A summary of the proposed Resolution is as follows:
RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF RICHLAND, LEBANON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE CABLE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT WITH COMCAST OF FLORIDA/MICHIGAN/NEW MEXICO/PENNSYLVANIA/WASHINGTON, LLC.
