Congressman Dan Meuser, representing Pennsylvania's 9th District since 2019, recently took to social media to discuss various legislative and community activities he participated in. The Congressman shared highlights from his engagement on several fronts, from addressing critical issues at hearings to supporting local military initiatives.
On April 8, 2025, Congressman Meuser tweeted about a hearing where he questioned HUD's Acting Inspector General on outdated IT systems and a lack of fraud prevention plans, which contribute to substantial losses of taxpayer dollars. These issues were part of a broader concern regarding the Department's operational efficiency.
In a subsequent post on the same day, Meuser highlighted the positive impacts of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, enacted under President Donald Trump's administration, during a House Small Business Committee hearing. He mentioned improvements such as record-low unemployment, strong wage growth, increased tax revenues, and more investment on Main Street, which were corroborated by witnesses at the hearing.
Also on April 8, the Congressman visited the Pennsylvania National Guard’s open house, engaging with Maj. General John Pippy, Maj. Gen. Terrence Koudelka, and other leadership. The visit was an opportunity to connect with the National Guard's leadership and discuss pertinent military affairs.
